International superstar David Beckham's arrival in the United States in the summer of 2007 was greeted with the Beatlemania-style fanfare. He was hailed as the man who would make soccer cool in the US, and paparazzi and tabloids followed his every move.
But his performances for the Los Angeles Galaxy of Major League Soccer were lukewarm, at best, and the team missed the playoffs in both 2007 and 2008. Then he went on loan to Italian club AC Milan. He is due to make his return to the Galaxy on this night with a match against the New York Red Bulls.
So what has David Beckham's impact been on soccer in the United States? This is the question our experts will look to answer.
Following the panel discussion, we invite everyone to stay and watch the New York Red Bulls-Los Angeles Galaxy match LIVE on the big screen.
