We Must Go sneak peek
Egypt/USA | Directors: Dave LaMattina and Chad Walker
Running time: 28 mins.
We Must Go is a feature documentary chronicling the journey of the Egyptian National Soccer team and coach Bob Bradley as they fight to reach the 2014 FIFA World Cup. The Pharaohs, who haven’t reached a World Cup in 24 years, and their American coach, as unlikely a pairing as there ever was, can unite a bitterly divided nation. This exclusive sneak peak introduces the major characters and sees the Pharaohs tackle their first two World Cup qualifiers.
The Dream Coach (l'Allenatore dei Sogni)
Italy | Director: Christian Nicoletta
Running time: 51 mins.
Sergio Vatta employed his poetic idea of soccer as coach of the Torino FC youth team from 1976 to 1991 and of the Italian Youth National teams from 1991 to 1997. While there, he developed such players as Dino Baggio and Diego Fuser, and coached the likes of Gianluigi Buffon and Francesco Totti.
Vatta invented a new approach in sport education, with a strong focus on the personal and social aspects of the players. The film is a discourse about soccer but also an invitation to believe again in the dreams we had as kids.
PANEL DISCUSSION: "Youth Development in America"
After the films, we will host an exclusive panel discussion to discuss the films and the pressing concerns aroudn youth development in the United States. Specifically, we will try to answer the question: Why has America not developed a Lionel Messi? Panelists include:

- Giovanni Savarese, head coach, New York Cosmos
