Rivals: Celtic vs. Rangers

  • 2011
  • Director: Alex Hoffman

Scottish giants Celtic and Rangers, a.k.a. the "Old Firm," make up one of the world's classic derbies. Loaded with on-field success, divisive sectarianism, hardscrabble social and class issues, and internecine animosity, Glasgow's big rivalry goes back more than a century.

Produced by VICE Films, Rivals travels with journalist Kev Kharas as he goes into the heart of the mutual loathing, standing to the side while Celtic and Rangers supporters tell their astounding tales of feuds, fights, and football.

El Clásico: More Than a Game

  • 2011
  • Directors: Sam Johnson, Zachary Fernandez and Matt Robertson

What more can be said about the massive rivalry between the most biggest clubs in the world, Real Madrid and Barcelona?

A lot, actually. Especially when it's said by a group of nine Chico State University students who travel to Spain in an attempt to understand the famous rivalry.

The group spends nine days in April 2010 interviewing Cristiano Ronaldo, Thierry Henry, Iker Casillas, and others looking for the historical, geographical, cultural, and political underpinnings of the eternal clash between los Merengues and the Blaugrana.
