Please support the K+S Soccer Film Festival partners and friends

As everyone knows, the lifeblood of soccer is the supporters. They're the energy that powers the game, inspires the players, gives true meaning to the 90 minutes.

Throughout the first decade of K+S, we've been lucky enough to have amazing supporters. Not only you, the festival attendees, who turn out every year to express your love of the game and share your soccer stories with us, but also the companies and organizations who through the years have provided support, guidance, promotion, and more.

Here are the partners and friends who are supporting us in 2018. Please support them in return.

K+S New York 2018, running May 22-25, celebrates our 10th year of soccer films + friends

maradona-platini.jpg

Hard to believe it, but the 2018 Kicking + Screening Soccer Film Festival in New York marks our 10th year organizing events celebrating soccer film and culture.

Our first decade has been an amazing ride. We've screened more than 50 films, organized more than 25 panels, hosted World Cup winners and Champions League winners, and, most importantly, made friends with incredible people throughout the soccer community.

We will celebrate all of this at the 10th annual K+S New York. This year's festival runs May 22-25. For the third year in a row, all screenings, panels, and parties take place at the Scandinavia House in midtown Manhattan.

K+S New York 2018 will, as always, will feature four nights of films, interviews with filmmakers, panel discussions on hot topics in the sport, post-screening parties, and more. We will also mark our anniversary by organizing several commemorative events, including a photo exhibition revealing amazing moments over the past decade of K+S and hosting several special guests with ties going back through the years.

If anyone in the K+S community -- or family, really -- has any great photos or memories from the festival's first 10 years, we'd love to see them or hear them. Please send them to us at info@kickingandscreening.com or contact us on social media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram).

We will announce the K+S New York 2018 film schedule and the lineup of panel discussions in mid April. So stay tuned!

When Ron Burgundy, aka Will Ferrell, gives a pep talk to LAFC

ferrell.jpg

We've always loved Will Ferrell. And now we love him even more, because he is the part-owner of Major League Soccer's newest team, Los Angeles Football Club.

You know LAFC. They're the ones who have those instantly iconic caps and the absurd videos starring their coach  Bob Bradley) and players (Carlos Vela, etc.) lifting their heads. You've got to watch it to get it.

Anyway, LAFC played their first match last weekend, and Ferrell was on hand and on point, pulling out his famous Ron Burgundy character to talk about soccer with the announcers from ESPN (including K+S friends Taylor Twellman and Max Bretos).

Watch and laugh. We did.
